Project at The Bunkhouse; Glassie Bike Park (SC051276)

We have now developed some of our land into what is called; Glassie Bike Park (SC051276), a biking park hub for all varieties of bikes, including; Downhill Mountain Biking / Gravel Track Routes and local road routes.

blue rated bike track has been created at the back of The Bunkhouse, its called; Midge as its small but will bite you if you dont concentrate. Great for all abilities to warm up, this will join into Blue View by a track along the edge of the Bunkhouse lawn and has been built by Ronan Taylor and local lad Euan Thomson.

We also want to bring the local community together for tourism development and get the area linked up better with bike routes for Mountain to Road use bikes and everything inbetween. Working with groups form Dunkeld / Pitlochry and Comrie.

Walking; We are also putting in walking routes / tracks around the farm which spur of the existing Core Path to link up with the town and from The Bunkhouse to take in the fantastic views of the valley. We hope to  put out either picnic benches or seats at these view points, with a bit of shelter from newly planted tree`s and shrubs that are also great for the wildlife on the farm.

We are also working with the Upper Tay Paths Group and Perth & Kinross Countryside Trust to get core path routes that come through or are linked to the farm signposted correctly while also trying to fix drainage issues affecting those routes that are easily accessible from Aberfeldy and The Bunkhouse.

E-Mountain Bike Hire while your staying with us at The Bunkhouse;

We are now up and running, using Mondraker Prime Hardtail Mountain bikes; check-out our E-Bike Hire page for details.

This will also give you info on; Freelander bike Up-lifts and drop-off`s / Uplifts with trailer / Local Emergency Bike repair contact.
