Welcome to The Bunkhouse at Glassie Farm

We’re an independent, family-run bunkhouse on Glassie Farm, Aberfeldy, and in the perfect location for those wanting the freedom to stay in a place where they can do their own thing with loads of outdoor activities on their doorstep, including Glassie Bike Park and some fantastic walks.

Our three self-catering holiday homes and their superb location make this the perfect place to get away from it all, recharge, chill out and make the most of the amazing surroundings with the closest of family and friends.

Our site comprises two well-equipped open plan units:

Plus The Armadilla, which sleeps 2.

Other accommodation

If you're looking for self-catering accommodation for a smaller group of people, why not try beautiful Rockdale Cottage in Scone, which sleeps up 4 and is just over 30 miles from Glassie Farm.

Biking at The Bunkhouse

This area is a great place for biking, which is why we offer some great [extra facilities] for cyclists staying with us.

We’ve also helped to set up a charity on our land at Glassie Farm to ensure that biking can continue locally for years to come. Glassie Bike Park is a hub that aims to cater for a wide range of bikes with separate areas for Non-Technical Skills, Technical Skills, Pump Track and Freeride Trails. We’re also developing a blue-rated bike track at the back of The Bunkhouse in the wooded area and adjoining field which  will join into Blue View by a track along the edge of the Bunkhouse lawn.

We’re encouraging community engagement to develop local tourism and get the area linked up better with bike routes for mountain to road bike users and everything in between.

The images below show track-building volunteers who then also get to test out their work.

Walking at The Bunkhouse

We’ve added walking tracks around the farm which spur off the existing core path to link up with the town and from The Bunkhouse to take in the fantastic views of the valley. This has been developed in conjunction with Doctor David Ashcroft with Walk back to fitness, a programme to get people fitter without prescribing pills.

We're also working with the Upper Tay Paths Group to get core path walking routes signposted correctly and trying to fix drainage issues affecting the routes that are easily accessible from Aberfeldy and The Bunkhouse.
