Diversification Project at The Bunkhouse; Perthshire Biking Centre.

We are now looking to develop the site into a biking centre for all varieties of bikes by creating seperate areas for; Non-Technical Skills / Technical Skills / Pump Track / Skills Trail / Freeride Trails. Then also providing E-Bike hire and guided trips, while also working with highly reputable companies like Cycle Wild Scotland to develop Mountain Bike Qualified Leaders of the future. While also looking to develop an area for a low ropes course, that will also enable confidence building in younger people.

These areas will be built over the next year with guidance from Scottish Cycling with the use of Sport Scotland datasheets.

We also feel a club should be formed up here to help the local communities and get the area linked up better with bike routes for both Mountain to Road use bikes and everything inbetween, while also putting in walking routes around the farm which link up with the town to take in the fantastic views of the valley.

Pictures show first bit of groundwork on site, done by Ray Wills from Rabbies Trails; November 2020.

Above; 1st picture; potential jump / 2nd picture; test run down to jump / 3rd picture; lift off with safe landing.

Join Ray at www.facebook.com/rabbiestrails to follow the development of biking in the Aberfeldy area.

E-Mountain Bike Hire from The Bunkhouse;

We are planning on buying and hiring out some of our own E-Mountain bikes, but this will not be happening until at least spring 2021, they will most likely be Mondraker Prime hardtail E-Mountain bikes.

But, in the mean-time you can hire an Electric Mountain bike from Progression Bikes of Dunkeld, just call Adam; 01350-727629
