I have just become a member (May 2026).

The reason; I hope to develop a deeper knowledge of the bird life on the farm and hope to pass the figures on so that we can all understand more about which birds are thriving and which are in decline and also if there arrival times are changing at all.

2026 Examples; Swallow spotted at farm - 17th April / House Martin spotted - 21st April and a Cuckoo was heard- 1st May.

I hope to also get a more hands on experience by training as a bird ringer, if possible.

Its all new, so lets see where it takes us and the farm`s birdlife.

The Barn Owl picture was taken when one of the little fella`s had just tried his first flight or crash, as we did not see him leave the nest box. Great to see, back in 2021.
