Biking at Glassie Farm.

Facilities onsite; We have a couple of car parks on our access track that bikers and walkers are fine to use for FREE in the day, the third car park is for people who have booked the accommodation that we have onsite.

Overnight stays in Car Parks; All we ask is that you ask us if you wish to stay on-sight overnight and we will charge you £5 for the night per vehicle, as we do run an accommodation business onsite and if you are a self-contained camper van that`s fine, but no tents erected or fires to be lit.

Recent trail changes: all changes have been done because the bike park  did not want to except any responsibility for any of the trails on our land and we are not qualified to grade and maintain the trails ourselves. Therefore, as we are not prepared to loose our business or house if someone tries a claim for injury due to other peoples lack of responsibility we are looking to convert them all to BLUES otherwise they will have to be removed as bike trails, which would be a great shame for all.

Trail Builder wanted to keep these trails going?

We will work with you to find grants to do the work or fund it ourselves, depending on costs. All we really need from you would be to maintain the trails and keep records of whats been done and checked, then our insurance will cover for up to 4 BLUE trails for public liability.

1- The Blue Midge  Staying as it is for a while, a good short Blue, as we can only get our own insurance for up to 4 blue trails on our grounds. Bad camber section just before wood has now been fixed.

2- Purple Haze. As this trail is not a Blue on our land it will have to be modified towards the end of October 2025, our site finishes at the wall.  We are working on ideas with Graeme from DMBinS about how to save this?

3-The Dreamline. This will have to be modified in October / December if no-one comes forward with ideas of changing it to a fantastic blue for beginners or good riders who like speed. Trail is therefore CLOSED, as no longer maintained by bike park.

4- Shredo / Blue View access There is now a wide farm vehicle access track at the top where the two trails were built. Shredo`s original trail can be joined 150 meters down it at the large beech tree in the woods and Blue View can be joined 100 meters down as you pass through the wall boundary. The bike trails are not on our land as they are black and red, but you can gain access to them down these farm vehicle tracks.

All the 4 listed will be lost to biking in the area because of insurance / liability cover issues and the lack of a qualified trail builder who is willing to do a bit of paperwork and is wanting to help young people develop skills on bikes as the local bike park does not want to build BLUE`s.

Glassie Pit Stop; This has items made by Louise; This is a CASH sale only section for homemade jams / marmalades and chutneys and eggs from our own chickens and bantams.
