Glassie Bike Park is being developed on the farm with The Bunkhouse and a cafe at its centre.

It has its own Facebook page and website: www.glassiebikepark.co.uk that is being developed at present.

We are developing the site more towards mountain biking and walking. We have approximatly 70 acres of land in total up here that we are using to help the local community get out in to the countryside more, while also working with the adjoining land / forestry ownwers.

We aim to get people out in to the countryside by working with local organisations and promoting walking and the use of e-bikes. This will all be under the banner of ; Glassie Bike Park / Glassie Trails.

The initial thoughts are to get this as a Scottish Charitable Incorporated Organisation (SCIO).

So, we are looking to build a few cycle tracks (Blue graded) for the younger kids / new bike riders firstly, this is intended to develop them in to confident bike riders who will then go on to be confident and skilled riders. While also incorporating seperate areas for; Non-technical Skills / Technical Skills / Pump Track / Skills area`s and Trails / Freeride Trails and additional walking routes with seats for resting at view points en-route through the farm area.

If your interested in helping in any way or have an idea we can all work on, as this is aimed at being a community project for all. Then drop me an e-mail and I will get back to you for a chat; use button at top right of page.

Local Community Groups;

BLESMA - This is my chosen charitable organisation (Julian Rickard) to raise funds for and to hopefully work with to help there members.

This was my first charity raising event: a charity ride in India back in 2011; over 450km in heat and with poor roads to compete with, but well worth it to raise funds for our injured ex-service men and women.

Charity Challenge organised ride through Rajasthan India; 3 pictures below; my fantastic group / the roads / the amazing guides.
