We’ve helped to set up a charity on our land at Glassie Farm to ensure that biking can continue locally for years to come. Glassie Bike Park (SC051276) is now becoming a popular hub that aims to cater for a wide range of bikers with varying abilities, so we have plans to create separate areas for Non-Technical Skills, Technical Skills, Pump Track and Freeride Trails, along with a 3 lane Downhill Jumpline, all to develop riders confidence in the long term.
We have put our own money in and developed a blue-rated bike track called Midge, this is at the back of The Bunkhouse in the wooded area and adjoining field which will eventually join into Blue View by a track along the edge of The Bunkhouse lawn. This area will also have more blue features / trails developed as we progress.
There are gravel trail loops from here from 4.5km to well over the 30km length, all virtually off road as well, with fantastic scenery and views.
We’re encouraging community engagement to develop local tourism and get the area linked up better with bike routes for downhill mountain biking to road bike users and everything in between.
Ray won the Trail Advocate Winner award at last nights DMBinS Mtb Gathering at Comrie (Developing Mountain Biking in Scotland).
Please help the great work done by Scottish Charity Air Ambulance and donate to the charity.
The perfect location for stag and hen parties / large family gatherings and of course biking and walking clubs, as we are positioned at 1000ft and south facing, on the same farm as Glassie Bike Park.
