The Bunkhouse provides fantastic views with flexible open plan style accommodation. The site is divided into two amazingly well equipped short-break units with stunning views over the River Tay at Wades Bridge.
This is the perfect location for those wanting a secluded / peaceful private self catering unit, making it ideal for group gatherings, stag and hen parties and of course a wedding venue site, or just a place to re-charge / chill-out and take in the amazing surroundings with family and friends.

You will now find that at The Bunkhouse we are the best site in the area for all paddle / water sports enthusiasts and of course stag / hen parties. We can accommodate groups of up to 14 and 25 in separate units at weekends, or the whole site for up to 39 people and individuals during the week (Sun - Thur nights). Especially if your outdoors enthusiasts, this is the site to be based at. Our self-contained units give you all of your own privacy, along with a large shared drying room. We are 15-20 mins away from Grandtully and 10-15 mins from the centre of Aberfeldy.
SCA members can stay with us in the week (Sun - Thur nights) for £15pppn, during 2017.
For our next available weekend date, please check the weekend availability section below. We don't open for weekdays until Monday 6th March 2017, this enables us to get the site painted and spruced up for the season ahead.

Stand Up Paddleboarding;
Learn to Stand Up Paddleboard in Perthshire for £40pp with Paddle Surf Scotland. With full instruction and wet-suits on either Loch Tay / Loch Tummel / Loch Faskally and the River Tay, while using us for the stunningly positioned accommodation for your break.
Kayaking / Canoeing;
We are situated within 20 minutes of the rapids at Grandtully, which are used for National Squad selection weekends and 15 minutes from the river input sites in Aberfeldy and Strathtay. We are the most sensibly priced and well equipped site to handle all outdoor water sports enthusiasts in the area. Call up and have a look around the site if your in the area.
Aberfeldy Slalom Centre >
The slalom course is 15 minutes away on the east side of Aberfeldy on the River Tay. Being positioned on a side channel of the main river it is primarily slow moving, flat water, with some soft eddy lines. The course is floodlit to allow for winter morning and evening training. There is a path which leads users down to the site and follows the length of the slalom course. Which all makes us the best site for your stay, as we are sensibly priced and have a large drying room for all your kit.
Munroe Bagging / Walking;
We are situated close to Ben Lawers (1214m) / Schiehallion (1083m) / Beinn Ghlass (1103m) / Carn Mairg (1041m) to the west of us and to the north east are Carn Liath (975m) and Beinn a`Ghio (1121m), to name a few. There are also plenty of local walks for all standards and abilities in the area, such as The Birks of Aberfeldy and we are situated on the Core Path; Glassie Circular walk. Ideal for all.
